There is an urgent need to make faith formation available at every stage of life and in ways that speak to the minds and hearts of all people today, young and old. "Faith formation" means acquiring a thorough knowledge and ever-increasing depth of understanding of the riches of the faith, a deepening spirituality, and a living of the faith through our actions and our worship.

The vision of the faith formation ministry area is to engage with the community in lifelong faith formation that nurtures and deepens one's relationship with God. Its focus is to expand knowledge, change hearts, and transform daily lives. -from the Six Pastoral Priorities, Diocese of Camden
Parents, by word and example, teach their children from birth throughout life. At their child’s Baptism parents undertake the responsibility of providing for its Christian formation.
The Lifelong Faith Formation staff endeavors to assist parents to build on and continue that Christian formation with formal classes. This partnership between parents and LFF staff requires on-going communication and collaboration. In our classes, we seek to provide the catechesis and skills building needed for each child to grow and mature, as far as each is able, in understanding, positive attitudes, and faithful practice of the Catholic faith. 1 Corinthians 13:11, NIV
We strive, therefore to assist each child in committing him or herself to a relationship with God Characterized by a lifelong pattern of vigorous sacramental life, prayer, Christian service, and growth in understanding of the Catholic faith. Committed to an active partnership between program and families, we place our efforts with confidence in God’s loving hands.
